Class Content
During each 20 minute computer class, the children learn basic computer skills for using the Windows 7 Operating System including but not limited to the parts of the desktop such as background, icons, task bar, along with changing the sound level, and logging into the computer.
We learn basic Internet navigation skills using hyperlinks to visit various sites that reinforce classroom content learning.
My goal in the computer lab is to mirror and reinforce the kindergarten classroom core content from the language arts and math content areas that the children learn in their classroom. Thus the children are learning computer skills while utilizing content learned in the classroom to make the content be more deeply rooted in their brains.
